Went to explore The Shoppes, and took a walk in the vicinity and we caught "Wonder Full" by the river. It is a show whereby they make use of lights and water to create images. It's just like the Sentosa's musical fountain.

The escalator was really steep and long and high. And it's moving so slowly that I actually got a tad scared because I can literally feel that I'm on a rollercoaster. You know the part when the rollercoaster will ascend slowly and then suddenly zoooooooom down??? That's how it feels!!!! Hahahaha

So the rooftop of The Shoppes is just an empty piece of land lor. Quite boring actually. But I guess it's kinda good for couples and stuff? Cuz it's not really noisy. Then can enjoy night scenery too.

HAHAHA. Oh yaaaaaa I will be having a chalet this coming Monday!!!! Kinda hyped about it because this is another short getaway!!!! :D

Met up with the secondary school friends 2 days back! It was some sort of a "farewell celebration(?)" for all of us mainly because Jianhao's gonna enlist on the 8th, Shermaine's leaving for China next week, and Joyce and Jaslyn are starting their internship next week. Everybody's so busy with their lives so much that we hardly meet up anymore :<

Today I spent my whole afternoon packing and clearing my wardrobe, whipped out lots of old and unwanted and some even unworn but disliked to a plastic for the flea that we will be setting up next month! :)

Wanted to reward myself by starting on TVD, but apparently Funshion doesn't have Season 1 anymore :< Gotta wait for my friend to pass it to me then. So here I am....................................

And I finally secured a job for this month already, would be working under DHL next next week till the 23rd, and they might extend till the end of the month. Hmmm at least this month is settled for now. Also, it sounds like IRAS had called everyone except me (-.-), so I guess I need to find another job for next month soon. X

So yeah, a cooking session at Brenda Wong's house the other day. Quite a number of people from my culi group couldn't make it so it was an impromptu decision to invite Tengyao over!

After getting the groceries from Hougang Mall, we started on our mis en place and stuff.. And B. Choong made Nutella Oreo Milkshake for us :>

And JJ got bored and decided to use the carrots to play the drums....

While the rest were hard at work...

Hehehehehehhe and this is what we whipped up!!!
Potato, corn and carrot soup, potato leaf (supposedly to be kangkong but it was sold out), nuggets, laksa fried rice, beer marinated chicken, fried fish, buttered potato cubes, sambal fish.

And we couldn't finish the nuggets so Zejun and Tengyao played Chubby Bunny (nuggets)...

And them being them as usual....

So yeah, today begins our start of the holidays (after the Accounting paper).

Yup yup, a picture to start the day!

Had lunch at Paradise Dynasty. It's famous for its signature pork based ramen soup and the variety of flavours of XLB.

Our XLBs - we ordered Garlic, Crab Roe, and Cheese. Preferred the garlic ones out of the three.

And we followed the pair at the next table by doing the "YUM-CHA" thing! Hahahahaha look at how happy Bren and Pene are! :)

Then we walked around town, Pene treated us to bubbletea, and we chanced upon Noise Production exhibition (art gallery) at the basement of ION. And there's an area where we are able to design mini tote bags. So we did that to kill time before the movie "This Means War". Not the typical romance comedy but its more like an action AND romance comedy. A must watch!!!!!

Initially, we wanted to give her a surprise but the plan failed because we went up the escalator too early and Leeying saw the cake and Bijiao was nowhere to be found so we had to sing her the happy birthday song with BJ's absence. HAHAHAHAHA

Hi, I am feeling rather sleepy now. Decided to come here since I haven't been blogging in quite a while. Most of the major schoolwork is over, only left with a presentation/interview, a reflection paper, a submission, and just one more test. Keyword: only. Imagine all the shit I've been through this couple of weeks. Just as usual, screwed up my CRS test today. The ones I memorised didn't come out and the ones that I didn't memorise come out. The annoying thing is that some people dug out the past year papers and stuff and did it and claimed that the questions were almost similar except for the first question. Fml seriously.

But on a brighter note, Chinese New Year has been good so far. Steamboat, lou hei, visiting of relatives, going to Pene's house and definitely not missing out mahjong with the kakis..... In fact we're gonna have another session just tomorrow. Can't wait :) What's this kind of therapy called???? Hahaha.

And oh I've been taking up this a photograph a day challenge thing in Instagram. It's really cool. Some random person created it, with different things for different days. I'm on Day 2 now; and hopefully I'll be able to keep this going til' the end of February.

Just 2 more weeks to end of the semester, I can do this. X

Went for a shopping spree with Pene after school on Friday. Bought really lots of stuff: 5 tops, 1 dress, 2 shades, 3 rings, 1 belt, 1 BB cover. So so sooooooo happy with my buys :) Retail therapy really makes one happy hahahahaha. Trimmed my brows that day as well. A quick post before I go to sleep!

Mahjong with the usuals at my place on Friday and I won $17 :D Watched 3 movies in a row (PA3, Mall Cop, Zombieland). And I got myself a new earpiece!
New year eve's on Saturday, plan to stay over at Genevieve's house failed. Watched fireworks at Punggol and we camped at Shermaine's house instead.
Replenished sleep on Sunday and went to Sean's place for Life and Cluedo! Bought like 4 litres of soya milk hahahaha.
CNY shopping with Bijiao, Jaslyn and Chingyi at City Plaza and Bugis Street! Got 2 dresses, a pair of shorts, a top, a necklace and a belt. Happy with my buys :)
Just updated scheduler, roughly know what's going to happen for this week or two...
A bit scared for the rest of the 7 weeks due to tests and project submissions :( But the CNY period will be my motivation!!!!!
Back to school tomorrow, got to wake at 6. Hope culi at Sugarloaf will be fun ^^

Caught New Year's Eve with Gen yesterday. It was good, much much better than Valentines' Day. :) Damnit the movie made me feel like celebrating New Year's at NYC!!! Hahaha.

And a sucky lunch buffet at Hotel Grand Pacific with the family to celebrate the full month of my mother's friend's granddaughter.

Yesterday was one of another memorable nights of my life. Well, it was kind of a good and bad day I suppose.

First off I screwed my accounting paper. Then we couldn't contact Mariah to find out if Pene was able to make it for the Spa Botanica trip. Then after a few calls we decided not to go but then we didn't know how to tell her without getting into trouble/ blacklisted. After sending her an email telling her we were not able to make it and telling one of our friends to help us deliver the message to Mariah as well, it was then that we realised the people who are able to make it was updated and posted at Olive that day. -.-

So the movie plan was cancelled, we were back to square one and it was already 1:40 then. We had dilly dallied for a 100 minutes and we were supposed to reach Beach Station at 2:15. Got a cab straight into Sentosa.

So yeah, toured around the spa blablabla. Departed Sentosa and headed over to Knightsbridge to meet up with both Brendas to take pictures with the A&F guys. Both of them are really brave! They managed to get their favourite guys to carry them. Awwww! *_*

Oh and someone took pictures of all 31 of them and posted it on Facebook.

Wazzzzup with me and my tongue stud these days. Should have known better when the ball bearing kept coming off these few days. Should have changed the damn stud but I didn't. And I swallowed the ball along with my chicken chop the other day. And to all the people who has a tongue piercing, I know it's not a rare sight or a big deal but still... LOL. Okay whatever. And this evening my hole almost closed. Just wanted to take it off for dinner because the stud kept coming out (I am lazy to the extent that I don't change the stud or just add a new ball). Then after dinner I wanted to put it back again but I couldn't. Went to the toilet and found out the bottom part of the hole somehow closed and I got a shock but I kept pushing the stud down from the top and phew. It's back again. :-oPo

School has started!

Had my first lesson with my new class yesterday. And I only found out that there's 28 people in my class including 8 guys. Woahhhhhhh. So yeah culinary science turned out to be pretty fine I should say. Had ZeJun as my buddy. Met all of the chefs, got a tour around the kitchen that we'll be working at for these few weeks. Chef Joyce did a demo for us on how to cut the vegetables (onion, garlic, shallot, tomato, carrot, parsley). She whipped some scrambled eggs and an egg omelette with tomato concasse fillings as well :p Then we had an hour's worth to cut exactly the same things after lunch. This knife skills would be our test in 3 weeks time with only a duration of 40minutes! It seemed easy when I see Chef Joyce cutting it but it didn't turn out to be that easy because all the chunks that I chopped were not consistent. Meh! Will get some veggies for myself and cut them this weekend!!! X

Hi there. The ITB Asia event finally ended. It was a good 6 days though!

Both Monday and Tuesday were spent on nua-ing at the resting room because the role Ziding and I got was the ITB Berlin booth. So there wasn't much for us to do because the booth will only be needed when the event starts on Wednesday onwards.

Went to MOF for lunch on Mondayyyyyz:

So yeah, this is our ITB Berlin booth!!!! We were supposed to provide information about ITB Berlin for next year but we ended up being the "mini information counter", when there's really an information counter just outside our hall. -.- But during the second half of the first day I was called to push this guy in the wheelchair around the show floor for his appointments with the exhibitors. Was nervous and excited at the same time, didn't know what to expect, would he be difficult to handle and all. But in the end.... His wife and him turned out to be really nice :) And he kissed me on the back of my palm everyday hehehehehehehe what a sweetie. :')

hiiiiii. haven't been updating for quite a while!

Thursday: went to buy king shoes and collect uniform with jzp. The 22 defu lane 1's damn ulu I swear. Almost got lost there and we even trespassed some site to ask people for help. Hahahahahaha we became lost sheep but we managed to find the place! :) Then we cabbed down to the Aljunied to collect our uniform! The uniform's mad cute they still include a tiny chef for us! Hahahaha. After that met up with Roger at town and we had Cold Stone and he solved the Rubiks Cube walao. Walked from Orchard to Somerset to Dhoby to Bugis to City Hall then back to Dhoby again. Hahahahaha walk until both my feet skin tear thanks to birks tskkkk.

Friday: Met up with the mj kakis again! Watched Real Steel at Causeway. Awesome show! At first all of us thought the robot's name was called "Adam" (which is my ladyboy's name created by them) which left me laughing out loud in the cinema walao. Saturday: Woke at 645 (ohmygod) to go for work at this ITB Asia event thing. It's just a 3 day event but we've to commit ourselves for a week because there were a lot of prep stuff to be done. Yes, I'm suffering from post concert depression now.

We were already at Sentosa at 3plus, making our way to Wavehouse. And Qirui spotted a few people going up the stairs just by the Wavehouse. He asked me are those people the ATL crew. I was like I think so...? AND I spotted Jack among them. So Qirui was like shouting his name, Jack noticed and he waved at us. I almost died. Hehehehehehehehe.

And we didn't realise we walked to the wrong gate and we went to the area just in front of the stage because we saw Zack and Rian there. Both of them had their shirts taken off. :> They were just testing with all those equipment and all. But we were chased away by Mr. Muscle Securityguard. Kns. So we settled down at some benches and was able to hear them play a bit of "Forget About It" :) Zack came over with his guitar and we had a short conversation with him too! This is simply too good to be true.

We got chased out again after that and it was then that we found the right entrance for the concert. There was already a crowd of people there queuing and waiting. So we joined in with the queue. Initially we thought that this guy in front of us was going to the concert alone but later he brought back lots and lots of friends. It's like his friends keep coming in, cutting the queue. The worst thing was they were all so loud. And they were smoking. Irritating douchebags.

So yeahhhhhh we finally got in at 7plus, it was pouring like mad (no idea why they made it an outdoor event), but we got free ponchos anyway (but I took it off when ATL came because the poncho was so much of an obstacle). There were a lot of waitings and The Dirt Radicals only started playing at around 9, but they had to cut off their set because there wasn't too much time left. Then All Time Low started rocking the crowd at 930. Bra throwing, Jack running around the stage, Alex's motherfuckingamazing vocals.... Really orgasmic. Was really into the concert throughout that I didn't take any pictures/videos. Qirui helped me to take some from my camera when his died. Thanks! :) (will kope his videos and pictures when he uploaded them muahaha)

Halfway through the concert Alex was like "Is anyone feeling unwell? Is anyone going to pass out? If yes I can put my lips on your lips." And the crowd went "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Then he said "Hey what were you thinking! It's called CPR! Nothing unprofessional." HAHAHAHA.

And they said we were an amazing crowd and will be back next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't afford to die now because I AM SO GOING TO BE THERE AGAIN.

So proud to be a Hustler. Last night was still so surreal. X

Yeah, yesterday was our last day of work. It all happened really fast. Like all 4 of us got called to his office at 4 yesterday and he just told us that all the urgent stock had been cleared and the other full time people can handle the remaining stock by themselves. So in any case that day was our last day there. It's just so.... last minute. -.- So going to miss all the people there.

My first feeling was that damn sian... Not only no money = plans got ruined, plus I can't... *coughcough* Then when I came to think about it I thought it was maybe a blessing in disguise. Not working means that there are more chances to hang out together and all.. But sigh lah his mood changes damn fast I don't even know what he's thinking seriously. Have been thinking of telling him how I feel but I'm just afraid of rejection. Plus with all this going on..

HI. Been working for the F1 Grand Prix these three days under TungLok. I teamed with Lenice, Patricia and a freshie Shi Min to cater food for the customers! Quite a variety of food were sold there! Like satays, guotie, pork dumplings, fishballs, chickenwings, chilliprawns, charsiewbuns, glutinousrice etc. They even provided squids, stingrays and king prawns on the last day. Business was good and we were busy almost all of the time. Our dinner breaks were very short because we had to eat our food fast like in 15 minutes because there were really lots of customers and 2 people couldn't really cope when there's really a huge crowd. Haha. The chefs are really nice too! I like I like :>

Seen a lot of angmohs these few days. I guess I can familiarise with their accents now? Haha. And I definitely seen the good and ugly sides of them. Most of them are nice and they will say "thank you very much" or "cheers!" or something positive that I myself will often neglect saying that. But when they are angry they will really go all out and say "you are so fucking stupid" (even though I know it wasn't my fault) or "fucking shit". :/ Can be really scary.

Nevertheless I've gained pretty much from this event! HEHEHE CHEERS!

Hi my marketing presentation is over :) Been busy chionging this for the past weekend for a mere 5%. At least we managed to get it done with. Just a little more of touch up and make it into report format and we're ready to go! Heh can't wait for this to end seriously. So sleep deprived nowadays.

Wine service test had ended as well, was one of the three lucky ones who got red wine but I didn't do well. Was pretty nervous and I thought I couldn't uncork the wine bottle. My cloth dropped, waiter's friend dropped while I was serving the wine, and I poured the entire contents of the bottle (which was meant for 6 glasses) into the 4 glasses. Hence the proportion of the wine wasn't the same. And so... I lost quite a number of marks you see. >:(

Also, last week was kinda fucked up. Got caught "cheating" by the teacher... Long story. Went to see the course manager that day too. And up till now they haven't give us an answer nor have they called up our parents. Just hope that everything would be fine and come to an end soon. X

Wasn't exactly my favourite out of all the 8 movies but Emma Watson is still as hot as ever. Rupert Grint and Tom Felton are damn hot too hehehehehehehe.

It's been 10 years I think! Not really a big fan of it but I have been watching it since Sorcerer's Stone. I've grown up, all the cast had grown up as well. Kind of sad that it ended. HIIIIIIIIIIIIEZ MY FIRST PART OF PROF TEST 2 IS OVER!!!! ^^v
It's been such a huge relief seriously. Almost memorised till I went mad! Hahahahaha not so exaggerating because I only memorised almost all of the appetizers and I didn't touch any of the main courses! Almost wanted to give up on the 7 marks but I didn't! I got like 2 out of 3 questions right, kinda unexpected. And it's all really thanks to Mr Tan who gave me chance. I suddenly forgot what's inside an aioli platter and he still asked me back if there's celery inside it and I think he purposely put the paper towards me so that I could "peek"? Hee.

AND I HATE "THE WAITING TO BE TESTED" PART!!!! I used to complain about being the first to get tested in orals, individual presentations but now I really understand why it's so good to be tested first or to be the first few ones to be tested first. Now I rather get tested first and get the stone off my chest earlier! It's really torturous waiting for your turn to be tested man; especially when you don't know when exactly are you going to be tested because Mr Tan asked us random questions like "choose left or right" , "C or H (ending alphabet of your admin number)", "red or silver (colour of the stapler)". Hahahaha that's his kind of entertainment to the ones who were getting bored because they were tested first.

So anyway I feel that I've becoming to like SSM already. 'cept the waking up at 5.15AM and the geling of hair.

Quite a number of things that need to be passed up this week. At least there's some kind of headstart for my marketing and TTO already. Making progress yay :) I'm kinda looking forward to the video too! Hehe.

Really a lot of things to be done after I come back from Australia sia. Has been tired ever since I gotten back. Is this a sign of jet lag (LOLWTF) or am I simply just tired?

Hi this week is finally over! Time really flies when you're busy! I kinda like that.

After a hectic 5 days including presentation, tests and of course SSM, I think I deserve to have a break today!!!! Not gonna touch anything related to schoolwork. And I slept in till 1230 (dont tell me its too early), considering the fact that I slept at 1030 last night. Thought I was going to be sick soon but with the 14 hours sleep I'm as fit as a bull now HAHAHAHA.

So yeah MST is next week. I only have SSM prof test 1 and an accounting paper! Fyeah.

Surprisingly our first operation at TopTable turned out great :)

I still made a lot of mistakes though. Like I always forgot to take the tray when I clear the drinks/side plates. And I always get caught by the instructors booooo -.- And man the main course plates were really damn heavy! Plus the plate was heated before the food was placed in it so I HAD to use the cloth to carry the plate. And it was damn slippery. Had lots of trouble taking it seriously. There was once when my hand kept trembling while I was trying to put down the plate and then the guest helped me. /HEHE

And all was well thanks to our headwaitress Wendy!!!! :>

OH AND I SLIPPED AND FELL RIGHT AFTER SSM TODAY. LOL AND I FELL IN FRONT OF A GROUP OF PEOPLE TALKING OUTSIDE SUGARLOAF AND ONE OF THE GUYS ASKED ME IF I WAS OKAY. LOLLLL SO EMBARRASSING LAH :S

It would be an understatement if I say I'm nervous/scared about tomorrow.

Just gotten back from our secret mission with BJ, CY and Jas ^^v

And yes, today is the last boot camp. Operations are gonna start next week. So scary!!!!! Should I find a day next week to eat at TopTable to get the overall feel? Hmm :>

Had to assemble at 7:10 to basically get a headstart to set up those stuff because there really are a lot of things to be done.

Today's role play was really a mess. Everyone was panicking and most of us were unsure of what to do. Really a lot of confusion going on. My captain's order was bounced back twice because I didn't write "SET MENU". -.- And then a lot of problems with the runner because I want to take the bread but they couldnt release the bread because the order was not sent(?).

(As I am typing this, I couldn't help closing my eyes and I almost fell asleep)

OK 30 MINUTES HAD PASSED AND I FELL ASLEEP -.-

AND I HAVE NOT DECIDED ON WHAT ELECTIVE EH

I think I'm going to blog down my SSM lesson weekly. It sounds like a weekly rant or something haha. After I survive these 17 weeks I would probably look through all of these posts and realise how much I've been through :)

So yeah. Third lesson of SSM -- falls on the Friday the 13th. Was already mentally prepared for the worst. Having SSM on a Friday allows me to gather just enough info about what's going this week. Come to think of it I kinda always am prepared for the worst. LOL.

And yeahhhhh I failed my grooming once again. Wonder why the hell do I always wake so early to do my hair but in the end I still couldn't pass my grooming. Seriously. So the whole lesson started with us getting assigned to our locations for the next next week and for the rest of the semester. And..... I got the toptable>tcc>sugarloaf! I think it's the best combination. I could get the toptable shit done asap and do the 'project' at sugarloaf where I would be able to get some of my friends to come down and support me.

Feels like playing the role of waiter for toptable but apparently my hopes were shattered thanks to the plate carrying training aftermath.

After lunch we had to carry a plate with our thumb and pinky on the plate forming an L-shape. No idea why the fuck I can't do it. Everybody seems to do it so easily while I'm the only one who can't do. Fml. So angry with myself why my thumb kept moving away sial sighhhh. And then it was when we had to put the second plate on top of the thumb and the ignatius realised my problem. Everyone was able to stack it, and due to my not L-shape position I couldn't stack it up. Everybody was already standing back but I couldn't lift up the second plate and place it on my left hand simply because I had to use my right hand to support the first plate. -.- I was pulled aside by ignatius and was taught. I only know the problem was not because of my sweaty palm... So what could be the reason that I couldn't carry the plate? Is it because that I have simply no strength? Or do I just don't have the right willpower and determination to do this?

And I teared. (Not funny ok shut up)

ARGHHHH STILL SO PISSED LAH OMGGGGGGGG

Did wine pouring later; it was fine I guess. Pour, twist, lift! Hahaha! Aftermath was clearing of dinner plates + cutlery + side plates. Pretty okay just that I still have to learn how to carry the plate lor. Ha.

I really really really really really hope that I can learn how to carry the heavy dinner plate because I know that there's no way that I can avoid being the proficiency test! AMANDA YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!
